I recently took My 2005 Ford Ranger V6 xlt auto trans. to the Dealer Because the check engine light came on. They found 2 Codes one was an open thermostat the other a transmission shift sensor. They replaced both and I took the truck Home.I took the truck out for a ride and Noticed the Radio would only play if the transmission selector was in park or neutral, and stopped playing while in gear. That problem mysteriously went away and now my left turn signal stops flashing then will start again . I also noticed the dash and licence plate lghts flash along with it. Then it will work fine. I am completely stumped, I never had any electrical issues with my truck prior to taking it to the dealer.Someone said it might be the transmission range sensor which can create a lot of electrical problems. Im thinking they screwed up something when they worked on the Transmission. Any help would be much appreciared. I want to go back to them with a little knowlege so they dont try and play it off and charge me for something they caused.

Oddly enough it sounds like a grounding issue. Most likely they knocked something loose.

That is really weird. I'm not even sure where to begin with that one.

It sat overnight, went out today to pull the stereo and break things, but it worked today.
Snowed a lot satruday and was warm & melting monday, so I'm thinking moisture somewhere was the issue.

together-wolf: BFH fixes everything. True story. WTF is right brotha!

OP: Sound like a grounding issue to me as well.

It's back, seemingly worse on wet days, it doesn't go out, but while driving it'll occasionally cut out. Never had signal problems before, so I assume whatever was the problem is now intermittent. Seems to be associated with wet weather.

EDIT
It is the signal cutting out, so the issue, whatever it was, has not reared it's head since.
