Hello

I used a 4.0l one out of a 90-94 Exploder. Bolted right in for me. I also use an electric fan out of a caravan.

91-94 Explorer W A/C & A/T have a 2 row radiator, that will go right in.

Hello

While you are at it if you have an A4LD in there then add a tranny cooler. If its a 5 speed then plug the holes on the rad and call it a day.

thanks alot guys, its a 5spd hopefully there is one there and a fan both let you know

after looking at 8 explorers all complete besides the radiators, i finally found one looked like it was pretty much new , pulled myself cost 45 dollars, the fan on the other hand looked at both caravans the newer style and old style the old style has one big fan would take mods to work and the newer style has 2 smaller fans but also looks completely wrong still looking for fan.

what did u get a 3 core out of? this 2 core looks plenty big enough compared to stock radiator do we use the stock caps that come on them? see its rated 16 lbs the old one is like 12 or something.

:icon_confused:why plug the holes in an automatic style rad? Unless you knew the cooler was bad to begin with.

preventative maintence, if it does ever leak its just plastic it will already be plugged

DO we know

Of even one that has leaked tranny fluid into the cooling system? There may be but I've not heard of it.

The '91-94 explorer radiator is a bolt in with the shroud that you'll find bolted to it.

Hoses? use the "late" 2.9 auto or 4.0 LOWER hose, yes, it's different.

The upper hose? Use a 2.9 hose purchased from Car Quest auto parts, it has an additional bend in it that makes it easier to keep it out of the alternator belt. even so some trimming of the radiator end will be required to make it fit without the belt hitting it.
