Anybody know a good site to find a radiator for my ranger. All site didn't give the rad size...... i need ones with(max overall size)29"*15".

Advanceadapters.com, and jamesduff.com both have them at around the same price range.

I can almost garentee that if you call james duff they will give you the dimentions of the rad.

Look in the classifieds for it. Only problem was he couldn't make up his mind what he wanted to sell it for

Just get a rad from a 91-94 Explorer with an automatic. The wrecking yards are full of them. I paid $60 for mine.

You can get a brand new universal aluminum radaitor from Jegs in a few sizes (one within your specs) for around $170. I use a 26x19 in mine and have zero complaints.

Get the 26x19 universal from summit or Jegs. I went the 4.0 route and it's not enough for summer time trail crawling.

Why not a 4.0L ranger with an auto? would that not be the same thing? I dont see why it would be different?

Yes a Ranger and an explorer is the same radiator. But the radiator core size is only 18X18 with 1 row. i think the 5.0L will overheat with this one. I'm thinking about putting a Cherokee 4.0L(31X11 3 row) or a CJ ones(16X24 3 rows). These two can fit whit little radiator support modification.

That's weird^ Mine is about 2" thick and I have zero problems keeping it cool idling in summer traffic.

i need at least 2 row....... but i can be wrong. An explorer V8 have a 21X24 2 row rad. I can't go under this.

X2 on the Summit/Jegs radiators- you have to do a little fabbing and trimming, but they keep really cool, even in the Florida heat....

A Custom Aluminum Radiator for a Ranger swap has always been an issue. Be sure to look for a Ford style which has the upper inlet on the Passanger side and lower outlet on the Drivers side.You can find a Titan Racing Aluminum one , 3" x 19" x 28", 2 row, with a heat exchanger for $256.49, but it wont fit. My 1993 std.Ranger (Assuming your 4 x 4 has the same body to frame height) also needs a 15" max.height to fit above the frame rails and below the top mounting rail, so I can tuck in under. The width needs less than 27" unless I do some torch work. The shortest height I have found available so far is Griffin/ Titan 16" x 28" x 3" Aluminum Ford unit @ $194.99. I found the cheapest price at Lefthander Chassis. But ,These dont have heat exchangers for an Automatic.I think a 19" x 22" Ford style may work better, it will fit between the frame rail, but I need one for an automatic. Ebay has a Custom all Aluminum v-8 swap radiator for $280.00, less tranny cooler, which is similiar to James duff or others. Ford made a 4.0 Super cooling radiator for the Ranger which bolts in and has a 2" core for extra cooling.I dont know if this will support a 350HP and up engine or not.
I was wondering what type of Transmission you were going to use?
Do you plan on using a stand alone tranny cooler?

This is the exact rad I am using. Only mine came out of an Explorer. You can pick up a tranny cooler for very cheap. The cooler I use in my truck is actually for a commercial cooler (ie a biiig fridge). I paid 10 bucks for it and it works like a charm.
