Greetings to One and All,

I would like to get your opinion about radiator caps for a Ranger 3.0 auto/2wd with AC.

Will a 14 lb. or 16 lb. cap work better?

Thanks and happy holidays!

looks like 16 is OEM... which is what I'd do.

I put a new 16 pounder on there when I replaced the radiator a month ago. The previous one was a 14 pounder that was put there by the mechanic who replaced the water pump a couple years ago.

My rad looks to have an OEM 14 lb cap. I think it kinda depends on what the original package was.

Anyway, I'd still go 16 lb.

I believe when we done my radiator a few years back we put a 16 pound cap on. That was on my 97. I don't recall for sure 100% and don't have the truck here to check. I would still say the 16 pound should be fine.

I cant see it really making that big difference, but all the rangers and E250 at work have 13lbs
