RaceRangers Build

Lol it adds to the effect! Jk, I just need to actually put nuts and washers on them. Right now they are just pushed into the header panel.

Not sure I ever posted this.. Truck landing on the rear bumper first.

So I think I found my alignment problem. I am still running a little bit of the stock drag links on the steering. From the factory they have a mild bend where the 2 connect. After the impact in the arena, all bends are missing and paint is flaking off where they were. So basically I straightened out my steering and toed it out.

Thats an interesting way to straighten things. when is your next outing?? Also any plans in the near future? (upgrades or changing whats there)

She looks good man, gotta say.

Thanks guys! May be taking it to Lucerne for the memorial run in a couple weeks.. If not I will slowly add parts to it over my last semester in college and try to get it race ready. So I will be doing fuel cell, more cage work, x-over steering and what not.

plan on doing any performance mods to the engine?

Probably not. With the few things I have done to the 4.0 it scoots along pretty well. My goal is to race the HDRA redline @ stateline in january. If it feels like it needs more power after that I will likely be putting a 302 under the hood.

i saw some stuff on putting that new supercharged 3.5 ecoboost motor in. that motor is supposed to be a beast. but you dont drive yours on the street anyways. your prbly not worried about passing smog or anything

That would be awesome, a friend of mine is putting one in an early bronco project and I guess it's a pain to get it running with the factory computer without all the smog stuff connected. But those motors are a ways out of my price range anyways.

So, I am quite dedicated to the idea of racing this truck in Jan. but with school starting next week my income is basically cut in half and along with my free time. Making it to the track would be quite a challenge, so I sold my supercrew for over 8K yesterday on a whim. My plan is to buy a 90's bronco as a DD/chase vehicle for around 3-5k and use the rest of the cash to help get the ranger ready by Jan. should have some good updates here soon.

This is the bronco I'm considering right now.
