Quit my Job today, feels good!

Someone posted in here a while back that they picked up delivering pizza's for an extra job and was actually making quite a bit of money from it.

i wonder if its worth the wear and tear on your vehicle

i'm a delivery guy, i clear around 250+ a night including tips, i definately think its worth it but then again where i live, everyone gets alot of money, working at mcdonalds will get you 16 bucks an hour..

well congrats!!! i wish i could quit my job but my house payments wont let me yet....

I actually did'nt get fired, but I had to quit like 3 weeks ago. I had been with this company nearly 9 years and have been doing this for 12! They only had enough work to work me 1 day a week. It's construction!

It got to the point where unemployment was going to pay me more and I did'nt have to drive the 200+ mile trek that one day a week. Gas prices are still over $3.00 a gallon here!

Right now I'm getting $450 weekly from unemployment and selling firewood on the side. Just sold a load right now.....lol!

After the cold season though, I'm going to have to figure something out.

Landscaping?
I wish it wasent winter otherwise I would be all over that right now. Mow someones lawn once a week for $15 a cut, thats $60 a month X ten houses = $600. Or down here in FL I can trim palm trees at $50 per tree. Takes me 15 min to climb a tree w/ a chain saw and cut 4 branches off. Good money!

Anyways as long as your willing to work hard you can make decent money. God I wish it was summer time.

Nah, not landscaping. Finish carpentry work in production tract housing. I was actually doing hardware ONLY, residential and commercial. Making sure all the vertical-rod panic hardware was installed and working properly for fire inspections.

Elevator doors, the whole enchilada!

The economy is somewhat down here as far as construction goes, but I'll survive.

After tomorrow I'll have the rest of the logs I've gathered completely split and ready to go. I should make around a $1000 this week.......wooohoooo!
