Quiet the valvetrain noise?

I'm new to the 4.0 Ford but from what i've read its not uncommon for them to have excessive valvetrain wear/noise. Mine does this, not terrible, but it bothers me. What is the fix? Is it the rocker arms and shafts that get wore? My truck has 141k miles, but i believe the engine has been rebuilt. I just bought it but it looks as though the block, heads, water pump, and valve covers are all freshly painted gray. I can only assume it has been rebuilt/replaced not too long ago...

I also have a 93 4.0 and I have the brutal valve ticking... I'm trying to figure out a cure as well.

So far I have researched a little bit and found some possibilities:

Drop the oil pan and check for sludge on the collector filter, this will result in lower oil pressure and lack of oil at the valves.

Cam shaft bearings, they can leak the oil pressure off before it gets to where it's supposed to go again resulting in poor lubrication at the valves.

I think you can also adjust the valves... I'm going to get my manual right now and search around the forums some more I'll let you know if I find anything out.
