anything will fit with enough time and money lol. best choice would be a 4.0 or 5.0, either are about the same amount of work, just depends on what u want, and what kinda skills u have. 4.0 u dont really have to fab anything and can use an easier to find trans. 5.0 u will have to figure out what fits and sometimes need a body lift to clear the trans tunnel and heater box(u can melt it with a heat gun and push in with an oil filter to clearance it for the valve cover)

The supercoupe engine isn't that great. It is still subject the the head warpage that plauged the 3.8 Mustangs, the blower produces 30 HP but takes 15 to run, so you only net 15 horse.

You will gain more by putting a 5.0 in, keep similar economy, and still be able to run 87 octane.

supercoupes can be fast, but it usually cost quiet a bit of money, but probably wouldn't be powerful enough to make a BII quick. You would deff. be better off putting a 302 in it. Take it from my experience, I had a 4.6 v8 95Tbird. They run mid 15s to low 15s stock. The 4.6 v8 run about the same. I did manage to get mine to run 15.0 but that was a 2600 stall, shift kit, intake, chip, smaller tires (increases rear gear ratio), and exhaust. It was deff a fun car, until I blew the motor twice in 2 years.
