Quick steering kit?

What I am asking about may not exist...is there a kit or method to speed up the steering for a 2009 Ranger? To clarify, currently it's about four turns lock to lock; is there any way to speed up the steering to maybe three turns lock to lock? I want to maintain the same turning radius, just turn the steering wheel less to get there.

Is your truck a standard cab or extended cab? If it is a standard cab, the rack and pinion assembly out of an extended cab truck will have a quicker ratio, like what you are looking for. If you already have the extended cab, then I don't know that there are a whole lot of options that will just bolt in. I would imaging with some constructive persuasion, you could "convince" a mustang rack and pinion to fit...

Thanks for the info; someone else PM'ed me with the same. Mine is a standard cab. Sounds like more work and expense than I want right now.

With aircooled VW's (old Beetles and similar VW's) there is a device that can be fit in about 20 minutes that speeds up the steering; I was wondering/hoping something similar might exist for Rangers.

Just out of curiosity, do you know how much quicker the steering ratio is?
