Hey guys this is a dumb question, but i am curious. Im my 2000 ranger i have the seat belt chime disabled. My question is with the seat belt chime disabled, is the seat belt light in the bottom left of the dash supposed to come on at start up and then shut off after a minute or so? Mine does and i never noticed that light before. Just making sure its normal. Thanks!

Mine does (1994 ranger) and I have the seatbelt sensor wire unplugged and grounded with a U-shaped piece of wire.

I think (and I could be wrong) that the vehicles are automatically made to light up most of the dash when starting up so that you can see what bulbs may have burnt out.
