Quick Question....

I recently aquired a 1988 Ranger High Rider STX, I have been looking for a 4" lift, but everyone I come across says that it will not fit this truck. So my question is, what makes this truck so special that a standard ranger lift wont fit? The truck already has a 3" bodylift and 265/75/16 street tires (which will be changed out pretty quick) so any help with this is greatly appreciated!

Thank you, I have been looking everywhere for info and couldnt find it. Much appreciated!

Any kit that does not use a drop-plate bracket extension will fit that truck 100%. However the deal is because the truck already has some lift on it factory, the 4" lift will only lift it another 2" or so over what it currently sits at.

Since the truck already has a slight lift from the factory and it has a 3" body lift on it, I think I am gonna skip the lift, trim the fenders and just stick a little larger tire on it and call it good

you will want a suspension lift if you wanna take it offroad a bit or your flexage wil be sad

Just get a 4 inch coil or a couple washers under your spring, eather will get u another 2 inches of lift over thi highrider

4" coils arent what he needs, thats too much lift and his tires will be like this:

4" coils require drop brackets no matter how you slice it.

Washers on the other hand might be a good option for him especially if his coils are saggin a lil, but I doubt he will get 2" of lift out of washers...I suppose its possible.................................................If he can fit them then it will be an alignment problem at that point.

4" coils MIGHT work because it's already a Highrider truck, but it's still a gamble. Better would be to go with the factory spacers under the stock coils for another 2" or so lift.
This should provide a good decent amount of travel (much more so than on a non-Highrider truck).
