So I was hauling a 9 inch rearend up a pretty steep hill today on an interstate. When I got about halfway up the hill the A/C quit (it was HOT outside) and When I got to the top it turned back on. My question is, is there a relay that kills the A/C when I get past a certain engine load? I know of the WOT relay but I wasnt at WOT.

Thanks in advance.

On a 2003 the computer will kill the A/C when the engine load reaches a certain point. You don't necessarily have to have your foot on the floor.

Awsome, thanks for clearing that up. Now I know theres no problem.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it one bit.

Now if it happens again and you aren't hitting a hill with a load, then I would worry about it.
