Quick power out of a 2.9???

ya you will need a computer. If your wanting to buy my headers from my 2.9 i can have them removed, my engine just died on me tonight...But the headers are in awesome condition i even have an extra set of gaskets. Ill sell you them for $280 and i can meet you half way. Its up to you. Thats a good upgrade for your 2.9

Gonna cost some good coin cuz im going to do it right the first time. My ranger will be my winter beater/trail rig i have my 98 golf gti for my summer vehicle now.

I think for now i gotta say no. i cant afford it and i dont want you holding it with no gaurantee of a sale. I think my truck is goin the same route yours is 4.0-swap. quick question, will a 4 liter from an automatic bolt up to a 2.9 5 speed or is it gonna trip tranny sensors and make it run like shat?

Not sure. My truck is getting put up for sale right . Im going with a ranger. Do some research on the 4.0 swap. your 2.9 trans will not hold up for too long with the 4.0 bolted up to it. Good luck.

ya i realize that. thats kinda why i wanted to put in an auto out of a sploder but i think ill use what i can find thats reasonable in price. my truck doesn't see any real hard offroading, the odd muddy path or water hole, maybe a hill climb of two. biggest thing i want it for is hunting, i need to be able to drive through lotsa snow
