HAHAHA, very funny. and the only reason i asked how close to winnipeg he is is because my mom and brother go to winnipeg once a month, so getting to somewhere close to there would be incredibly easy, but if he's nowhere close, well, maybe those pacesetters arent worth the trip...
anywho, i need to do my clutch this weekend so i dunno if any plans will start to come together anytime soon...

Plus im 17 dude, im part time. why the heck would i work at can tire full time??? minimum wage isn't very appealing to me

The VIN number is the quickest way to check what engine came from the factory in a truck. The 4.0 wasn't available in 89, so unfortunately you're going to need to keep looking a little longer.

oh really??? wow, i just got my dirty hands on a 4x4 2.9 but it runs terrible, typical 2.9 tick, tranny whine all the way across the board, but the tcase shifts like a dream. maybe i can get a deal on a package price and swap in the 2.9 outta your 4x4! how much you want? cause i had plans to park the 4x4 i bought tear the body, engine, and tranny/tcase, and start a resto in spare time, but its all still on the drawing board.

Well my engine ticks as well, but its common, still has all the power there just the annoying tick. Im open to offers. Im was wanting to get at least $275 for the headers, they are only a month and a half old. The engine runs great, but the lifters are just ticking on her. The tranny i have shifts nice and smooth its the FM146 tranny Excellent condition. And as for a package deal i can do $700 OBO for the engine, headers, tranny with the brand new clutch in it. Brand new valve cover seals and i can even toss a head gasket kit i bought a few months ago. I thought i needed to do the head gasket kit but that was not the problem. My radiator turned out to be rotted out, cuz i was wondering where my coolant was going. BUt other than all that this engine has been pushing my 31's for a couple months now. And its still running strong, does not burn oil or leak.

I need funds for my M5OD tranny for my 4.0 swap

alright ill think about it. im gonna have a hard time justifying putting a 700 dollar motor into a 140 dollar truck, but its still bein considered..

truck is in lumsden sask, im 17, nor do i drink and i doubt you wanna drive here. although maybe if your in regina we can and ill pay fer it (case o beer) i guess. my cuzins will probably help too. hehe it will be nice havin someone who knows theyre way around a ranger to lead the destruction. thx for the offer!

ok new question. does the electric shift t case i have now bolt to an A4ld or w/e they are that could be found in a 4 liter?

yes it should work just need to compare the ends of both transmissions. see if they are the same.

ya but aren't they electronic shift so i need a computer when switching from stick to auto?
