ok so i am putting in a leveling coil at the moment and i figured while i had it apart id change my radius arm and axle pivot bushings i have all nuts broken free coils out bolts out and my question is the axle pivot bushing set comes in two pieces the main body and a poly ring that is slightly larger than the main bushing where does this ring go? there isnt one on there stock and if there was its gone please help i want to finish this little project tomorrow morning while i get a brief break from the rain ..... truck is a 2wd 1996 and bushings are energy suspension

theres no issue with the radius arm bushings those are pretty self exlainitory big bushing in front little in the rear my question is on the axle pivot bushing the one round bushing im not sure which way is faces ||axle(| or ||axle|) there is a taper to it

heres a diagram for the radius arms although it sounds like youre after the axle beam pivot bushings, which look like these, correct?

when i installed mine i put the flange towards the front of the truck, so that i was pressing it in from the front side of the axle towards the back, thats how my original ones came out so i put them back in that way. the energy bushings do look confusing because they have that extra polyurethane ring that slides on after its pressed in.

yeah that extra ring was what i am confused about i wasnt sure if the taper faces in towards the axle or away from it but i choose to put it in facing away thanks for that diagram but these bushings dont really look like that
