what kind of ABS am I looking at?
I've looked around a bit, and the general consensus is that it wasn't until 96' that 4W ABS started, but I just wanted to confirm. The only thing that confused me is my ABS light. My light is ABS, where as my buddy who has a 94's light is RABS, so that sorta confused me.
The reason I am asking is I am looking to replace my master cylinder, and I know if you have 4W ABS you need special tools to bleed the system.
Thanks!

You have RABS. The reason that his says RABS and your is only ABS is that 4WABS was becoming available on some things (not Rangers) and they started to differentiate. In 93 it was all RABS so there was no need to specify.

Cool, thought so, thanks. Thank God. I didn't want to deal with all the extra tools needed to bleed a 4wheel abs.
I'll be replacing the master cylinder on monday . Brakes have been super shitty for too long. Yesterday the pedal was going to the floor with minimal bite, and I know the boosters good.. would a MC going out affect the parking brake? I've noticed the tension is soft then hard, like different every time..

Ebrake is a cable connected to a drum in the rear... So I dont think your master cylinder is going to have anything to do with that.
