I recently had a thread in the 4.0 section about deciding what to do with my truck, having made that decision and ordered the parts I come here to ask about another thing I would like to change while I am having all this done to my truck.

Its a mazda B4000 4x4 1998 and I would love to change to a manual shift transfer case, Is there a way I could do this and keep the auto locking hubs working? I know a lot of people dont like the auto locking hubs, but there invaluable for my day to day activities with the truck.

How the tcase engages has nothing to do with the hubs. Unless the circuit has to be completed to allow the vacuum solinoid to engage the hubs. :dunno: Im a 97 and down kinda guy.

EDIT: You could always swap the hubs from a 95+ Expo and just have a live axle setup and forget about locking hubs all together. Its how most 4x4's are setup now anyway.

That is an idea, problem is I do not know how to do this myself, so I am going to be paying someone else to do it, and the less steps I have, the less it costs me, it is something to consider though.
