Hi guys,
This might be vague but I'm still hoping that some one can help me.
I just bought a 94 xlt 4x4 with a 4L. I pulled off the front tires last night to check the front brakes (they are extremly due) and noticed something that I'm not sure of. Once the wheel was off the manual locking hub came with it, I am assuming there are supposed to be some retaners on the studs to hold this on?
Once the locking hub was off I noticed that the shaft with splines that the hub meshes with has lots of up and down and side to side play, is this normal?
I am also going to do the wheel bearings since I'm changing the rotors anyway.Do the rotors come with the inner bearing and seal or do I have to press them in myself?
Also the c clip that is in front of the locking nuts with the slots in them does not look like the stock clip, its extremely skinny. Wondering if the real clip fills the gap or are they all like this?
I'm new to rangers so I'm learning as I do things myself so any help is greatlt appreciated
