Question on Hoods

Hahah! Well all my life I have had Metal Hoods never Fiber Glass, so How would i know if Fiber Glass can handle some abuse.

One of my buddies built a fiberglass hood and it was pretty flimsy so he took some small rod and glassed them into the bottom of the hood..helped out alot and didn't add much weight

Okay Well Ill add one of those hoods to my list of things to buy. (:
and I wish my Ranger could do that without the crash part.

Idk, I'm getting my custom hood and bumper made by a local shop. I'm only paying for materials.

It seems you can probably get two JY hoods, and a local shop to weld up what you want for less than the $300+ shipping a fiberglass hood will cost yah.

Anyone sell Cowl hoods for the 98-03 trucks...? having a HELL of a time trying to find that...

Hey.. You live by me, and you're on CTR.. I'll get you the info on the guy that's making mine if you're interested. He's in Lansing, I think.. Somewhere around the south burbs

That'd be awesome! My issue is that the snout of my blower just SLIGHTLY brushes my hood with the liner removed, so I need an additional inch or 2 of clearance in the motor bay by approximately 10-12 inches from the front of the hood.

I don't think that one has an aggressive enough 'lift' to the cowl to clear my charger, but it looks great, and its the first one I've seen available mass market.... Shoulda checked LMC earlier.

I am going to take my air cut-off wheel and cut out the support around the pulley snout for now so I will be able to retain my stock hood/appearance, but I'd like a more 'functional' hood (As in one that clears the blower without modification, and gives some extra cooling with a cowl)
