Theres a fuel filter reservoir thing located between the in tank pump and the frame rail pump. Anyway I want to order a replacement filter for that but can't figure out how to get the thing open, and don't want to break it cause I think I would have to get that from a dealer. So any help is really appreciated.

the lower portion unscrews (standard right hand thread)....use a thin strap wrench to break loose....DO NOT tap on bottom...very thin. been there, done that! Not fun. Once loose it should unscrew by hand.

best to do with emptier tank....still might have to jack up the front to help from leaking.

I got new filter through O-Riellys, would suspect that most parts stores could get one.

I patched mine with "water tank"...from JB weld

Thanks alot for the help. The thing was pretty stiff but after a bit of work I got it open and istalled the new filter. Now i'm just trying to get some of those fuel line clips that go on there, the parts stores supposed to get some from the dealer today. Thanks again!
