Ok here it goes....

I know a guy who has a 6inch lift, all the drop brackets, and 35 inch rims and tires all to fit my 96 F150, and 500 bucks would probely get the whole deal.

My questions are....

1- How good will a 300 turn 35's with 3.55 gears, i dont really wanna regear if i dont have to...

2- How hard is it to intall drop brackets....

3- Are extended radius arms nessacary?

Rusty, to be blunt, you'll hate it.

Fall of '06, Spring of '07 my brother a friend and I constructed a
4.9 powered F250 from "spare parts" left over from two other projects

the resulting truck was tolerable with 3.55's if you simply forgot
it had a 5th gear, with 4.10's it was a real nice truck.

I actually drove that truck loaded with 200gallons of fuel and
over 3000# of other cargo AND towing my Ranger supercab
behind it on a towbar from eastern Pennsylvania to Casper Wyoming

That truck was equipped with narrow 33's.

with 35's?.... Just say no to 3.55's

If you want I can probably turn up a 4.09 geared front pig for
your Dana 44... (they never made "true" 4.10's) which will
ease your pain on the re-gear.

Ill prolly just leave her as she sits then. I know now i got 31x10.5's and they turn just fine on it, cant even tell the differcne from the stock 265's.

But thanks for answering my question allan.

I do tow with it and the more i thought about it the lift would screw me when i try to pull my 5th wheel camper.

if you could put a 4spd into it then itd move along just fine, in one of my 79 f-150's i had a 300 that was WHOOPED a 4speed 3.55 and spool in the back, it didnt think twice about roasting the tires all the way through third gear while spitting oil out of the engine from massive blowby
 
BTW, the 4.9 F250 we build had the ZF built 5sp trans not the Mazda and even with the granny gear of the ZF the 3.55's and the 33x10.5's weren't "happy"
