So, me and a couple buddies of mine are planning to take some leave and go up to Montreal for a few days before deployment. I was wondering if anyone from that area could recommend cheap hotels, some stuff to do, etc. We're planning on being there for 3 nights, over a weekend.

hello brother.

:beer:i am with the canadian armed forces and ill be deploying to afgan in the spring. but any ways, good places to go are Club Super Sex strip club, its awesome, and basically if you stay near the downtown core which is st catharines street, its filled with bars and hotties galore.

I've been to Montreal about five times...and I loved the downtown (old Montreal)...stayed in a bed and breakfast once and that was pretty decent...there are (were) tons of those...and they are cheaper than Hotels...but if you've got the cash...they have quite a few nice places...

Tour the downtown area at least once...it's beautiful...if you like old buildings and young girls...:)

I dont know if you have deployed once before, however I have and I recommend not leaving the country this close to deployment. If you had trouble and couldnt get back you would be listed as AWOL until you got ahold of your command to get things worked out. The US is still easy to get out of , but immensley harder to get back into, even with passport and military ID.

This would be over a month before shipping out, and my command already said it's okay for us to go, we just have file some risk assessment paperwork first.
