Ok, its a 91 with the 2.3 5-speed. It started out as a no start situation. Checked codes and it had multiple issues but nothing pin pointed. It was as if one thing was causing all the issues. It's geeting fuel and pressure checks out with in spec. The timing is dead on with the spout removed. Checked the coil packs and found one dead, installed one new coil pack. Went for drive and the engine ran fine and then started to die again. You would have to tach it up to 2200RPM to even get things moving slowly. He read that when one of the codes comes up for the coil packs to change both. Installed 2nd coil pack and the truck drove well after that. The truck sat for a couple days and is now back wher it started. I am wondering if it could be the ignition control mod. Is there a way to test this before the money is spent? The truck really isn't worth a lot more money, they are just trying to keep it running a little longer. Any help would be appreciated.
