question about svt or sxt?

ive been searching for a while and cant seem to find the info,
i recently bought a 93 ranger it has the 4.0, 4x4, 5 speed m5OD-r1 tranny, 8.8 L/S rear end with 3.73 gears, it also had factory a decal from the headlights to the tail lights down the side of the truck but it was torn off, you can still see the paint fade lines from it, it also has a/c and really fancy seats with power everything and fender flares. everything on it is original so could it maybe have an SVT or STX package? also could someone tell me the difference between the two?

SVT never made a production Ranger. Was it a big sweeping like decal that was thicker near the front?

ya it was bigger in front and narrow by the tailight and the whole thing was towards the top of the truck by the door handles and windows not near the rocker panels

sounds like you have an stx. i think they came with a decal like that

cool would that be why i have the 8.8 limited slip with 3.73? im so happy i got what ever package it has because that 8.8 in an unbelievable bullet proof axle ive always liked swapping it into my mud rigs

stx for sure. the only production truck that SVT made is the lightning and raptor. they did make an SVT Ranger but it wasnt a production model

The reason you have the 8.8 is not because it is an STX, its because the truck has the 4.0L. All 4.0L equipped trucks are guaranteed to have the 8.8.
