Will the bumper of a Gen 4 fit on a Gen 3? Will the brackets like me up to the frame or was the frame widened?

i need to learn the cut off on the years. if you have measurements, and my son didn't take my 04 to work, i can measure against mine to compare

Only the front portion of the frame changed. So, dimensionally, it should fit. Brackets and mount holes might be different.

Ranger frames widths didn't change, 1983 thru 2011, body got about 2" wider in 1993 and up, so cab/body mounting points are different
The 6 Bed mounting bolts/holes were the same, 2 extra bolts/holes were added in 2007 or so, but original 6 holes still lined up, so 6 hole bed will bolt to 8 hole frame and visa versa

But rear bumper on Flareside(stepside) is narrower than styleside, just like the tailgate is, either width bumper will bolt to frame, but for "looks" it would be best to match width, lol

Oops. Sorry. I just googled it and saw that come up and thought “Gee. this is exactly what He needs.” Plus, it included our really cool “we did this” generations photo from last year’s roundup.

i like the front end on the first gen. totally off topic post, to start the new path of this thread :)

Thanks guys!

Now I just gotta figure out how to ship for less than $150. (UPS wants $464 to ship it)

Where is it? Maybe the underground parts railroad can move it?

Jeep guys do it. Someone pucks it up amd drive to meet snother guy who takes it to the next guy. Sometimes it takes a week or two but its generally free

where is it starting its trip and where is it going?

Port Charlotte. Florida to Frenchtown, New Jersey.
