The a/c in my truck doesn't work. I have not bothered to diagnose it because in over 15 years of driving I haven't had much use for a/c. Many of the components are rusty and I am having a hard time unfastening some of the connections, namely the one between the evaporator core and accumulator. I was thinking that instead of trying to spend more time and money doing this that I could just remove the evaporator core entirely (along with the accumulator, of course).

What would be the aftermath of this? I'm not familiar with the Ranger's heater box, so i'm not sure what consequences this may present.

Any input? Perhaps fill the void with foam? :icon_confused:

Nevermind. The troublesome nut was no match for my wisdom and creativity. :icon_thumby:
