I want a Pre-runner/Rock Crawler thing, because where I live we have alot of desert racing and alot of rock crawling spots, How would I build my truck to do both. I want it more on the pre runner side but be able to still crawl?

To be good at both it will take money. My advice would be to swap in a d35 and 8.8 and lift it like 4in with f250 shock mounts and jeep coils
Oh I know it takes money haha. Im going to do that swap. Im getting a Skyjacker 4" Lift. F250 Shock Mounts? Never heard of that...?![]()
Hmm Thanks Guys! If I did the F250 Shock mount swap, Would I need bigger Shocks and Coils? or what?
the ranger shocks have a stud and the f250 have an eyelet so you need new shocks. but the benefits are they wont bind nearly as easily and they will give you more wheel travel if your coil permits it
why not get a dana 44 ttb from a full size. i'm pretty sure they are almost bolt on and it will widen your stance a lot. as the for the rear the 8.8 is the way to go.
if you build a good pre runner it will be good at rock crawling
and the coils will still be ranger coils. f250 are too big unless you mod your lower coil bucket and use the 250 upper coil bucket. it would be stiff though so probably not worth it

This is what I'd do for a go fast rock crawler.

i dont see where that says the height but if you want to be able to align your truck you need to get the 6" kit. and get the dropped pitman arm thats made for and 8" kit to help get your steering geometry back into factory specs. you will also need extended brake lines. (i just went to autozone and got f250 brake lines, they are the same as the ranger, but longer).
also do you want any flex or wheel travel? if so dont buy those coils. youll need either jeep or early bronco coils. the coils in those kits are way too stiff for any wheel travel
