Question about my Ranger

get the coils from bronco graveyard, james duff, etc. or any jeep vendor.
this all takes a good bit of research and if you jump in without being completely sure you look back later at the things you shouldnt have done and better alternatives to kits and such.

idk if you have school or work in the morning, but tonight or another time just take your time and spend a few good hours in the technical library of this site reading everything that seems to interest you under the suspension area. some are complicated, some are simple, but regardless, you will learn alot by just reading some of it.

Hmm Alright...? :icon_confused:
Im Always in there reading stuff... Im Just begging on learning Mechanical stuff... Im Not sure what everything does yet and all that... :icon_confused:

i understand that, just look around alittle bit more also. theres just so many options to name one when you dont have an exact application in mind. its gonna be a hybrid.

but if you want a dd/ rockcrawler/ prerunner that does good in each of those application, your best option would be to piece together your own lift kit. considering that any lift package made specifically for your ranger wouldnt exceed in performance in any of those applications.

Alright, Well Id Rather have a DD/Prerunner... Not So much for Crawling Boulders...

I Just dont Get What Lift to buy now? and sh*ttttttt. :icon_confused:

I Will Pry do the Chevy Leaf Spring Swap and the F250 Shock Mount, but Do I Buy a 6" lift? with an 8" Drop Pitman Arm? :icon_confused:

well id first buy all the skyjacker brackets for a 6" lift. get the coils somewhere else for a jeep or early bronco. youll need to get the 8" dropped pitman arm because the one that comes with the kit isnt long enough so you have to get the other one.(unless you just want to do the stonecrusher steering setup, which isnt probably much more than the 8" pitman arm) do the chevy leaf swap with drop shackles and the f250 shock mounts.

thats what i would do first in your situation. i dont know how much money is available in your situation/ and if you can do the work yourself instead of paying a shop, but id give that all a try and maybe add on from there and see what you like.

and i will admit, i know nothing about prerunners or their setups, but this is just a basic start to get you going

Alright, Rather Just get the Pitman, and Any kind of Jeep Coils? or what? :icon_confused:, Ill do the F250 Shock Mounts, How Big of Shocks would I buy? and Id be Buying F250 Shocks Right?

I Plan on doing all of this towards the End of Summer Or During Summer, I have a Job and No bills besides Gas and Car Insurance So money isnt really a problem haha.

You seem like you know what youre talking about... :icon_thumby:

Btw, Thanks man.

yes youll need f250 shocks, i couldnt tell you what length though and the same with jeep coils, i dont know what kind or length. and crap i just remembered something. if you go with jeep coils, youre steering and ttb leverage makes the coils bow out badly. i think the correction is the stonecrusher steering. so dont worry about the 8" arm, just get 6" and that should be fine along with stonecrusher.
im getting tired, so im leaving things out haha

but no problem man, we're here to help the best we can. i just hope i didnt make you any more confused
