Question about 2003 Ford Focus SE Audio

I was wondering what type of speakers I can pickup for Jason's Focus?

The front and back are 6x8, and I see a lot of 6x9 and 5x7, but very few 6x8, we were lucky enough to pick up a pair for $16 each at AutoZone.

They work very well, well, only installed one so far, for a first time doing car electrical, not doing bad, lol

as far as 6x8's go, im very impressed with the pioneer ts-a6872r's. they can be had for CHEAP at walmart (cringe) for around 60.

but if you wanna get serious, it would be hard to beat the pioneer d series 6x8 for the money... or you can get a special adapter plate and mount a 6.5" component midbass and tweeter in the space of a 6x8. but thats probably overkill...

IIRC, 5x7s are the same as 6x8s.

Pioneer makes quite a few different speakers in this size, they list them on their site. Best Buy also carries the Pioneers, as well as Kenwoods and, I think, Sony Xplods.

I had a set and liked them, and I'm thinking about getting another set for the new truck.

We got the 5x7 and they did not line up with the screw holes

I got both installed cleanely, the second speaker took me 30 minutes instead of the previous 2 hours lol
