Have an aftermarket audio wiring harness adapter. It has 2 wires that are blue with white stripe that are labled "amp turn-on". My aftermarked stereo has 1 such wire. Do these three simply get spliced together?

Also there are matched wires for a power antenna. This vehicle does not have one. Is there any reason I would want to connect these wires?

Thanks in advance.

Unless you have a factory amp in the truck you don't need to make that joint, if you have an after market amp you use it to turn it on but other wise tape in to the harness bundle and cap/ tape off the end to prevent any kind of short.

If you don't have a power antenna then just leave it and tape it off unless your going to use it to turn on a second amp.

Yes, this vehicle has what I believe to be factory subwoofers and I assume amps (the factory head had the connections for it). We're looking to leave everything stock except for the head. I've got every other wire on the harness adapter connected but I was leary to connect these last ones until I was sure my one output on the aftermarket stereo harness was OK to use simultaniously with the two on the adapter.

Ok so your OE harness has two amp remote wires? if that is the case you should be able to connect them to the one from the aftermarket deck or one to the amp remote and one to the power antenna.

Awesome. Just what I was planning on doing. Thanks.
