So far we raised $661.86. I'm sure the Military Families Fund will appreciate it, but I was hoping we would be able to raise more.

It is still early in the month!

And thanks again to all that have already donated!

True that. I've been getting lost in my days of the week.

We're at $690.

I plan to make a donation after I get paid tomorrow to try and move it closer to at least $750.

I get paid tomorrow as well and will be making a donation. Lets keep it movin!

We're up to $738.34 right now!

Awesome job everyone!

Bumping this back up to the top....only a couple days left in the fundraiser!

Only 2 days left to go!

$762.81 now....let's hit 800 before the end of the month!

It would be good to see an even thousand.

Most of us are whining about our pidling little problems--I've got 5 kids and its tough to get their homework done, their clothes washed, their nasty little bodies scrubbed and get them onto the bus on time. But to lose one of them fighting in a war most people don't understand would be devastating. Private Miller was just a kid--a boy 19 years old.

You can't do something about everything in life. You don't have to. You just do something about the things that intersect you. This fund isn't for Miller's family--its for any family that has lost someone--most likely the father who has left a wife and kids. Ten bucks or something is little enough, but it's a help.

Nobody asks for this shit, but when your number is called, you go and do it the best way you can. Miller did that and lost his life, as have thousands of others. There are still 120,000 allied combatants in A-Stan, under fire, so if you can forget about your plugged wiper-washer pump for a minute and think about the family that gets the feared, but unexpected visitor who tells them that their father, son, wife, mother is dead.

Whatever your thoughts are on the wars, those decisions aren't made by the people that are under fire. The people under fire are the little people, like us.

I think we should see this thing through to an even 1000!

I'm donating again on payday.
