Hey guys my B3000 did not come with speakers in the rear. Is there still a wire that leads to the speaker location back there because when I feel the rubber protection thing I think I can feel a small wire inside it.

Would it be hard to route wire if I had to? If there is a wire there, would it be easy to hook up to a speaker?

Last thing: are the door panels hard to remove? Front and Rear?

Thanks :icon_thumby:

Haha! I was wondering the same thing.

No. There are no wires run to the back if you don't have rear speakers. It's not too bad running wires to the back. If you need advice I can help. It's really apparent if you look at it.

I have a 94 b2300 and my back speakers were goin to crap and the wires were bad so i just cut them out and ran new wire under my carpet and under my seats. It works fine. and didnt have to take any thing but the seats out it was like 45 min job maybe not even that.
Hope it helps
Jared

Could you guys maybe give me some steps to bring wire to the rear speaker position?

I know how the crimp, wire, solder, etc, I just need to know how and where it is/should be routed.

I'm installing Infinitis probably next weekend so it would be a great help. BTW, I ordered from Crutchfield, so I have some basic instructions but I doubt it;ll show me how to bring wire back there.

you might as well take full advantage of crutchfields customer support. they can walk you through every step of the install. im sure they can even help out with running wires to the rear.

i sure hope you are going to run a amp to those speakers. infinities are 2ohm speakers. even though they say theyre compatible with 4ohm stable decks, i wouldnt run em off the deck. atleast not for long.

You really think i need an amp?

I guess it would be okay, but I'm low on funds, I may have to wait a while. When I do in fact have more money available for upgrades I might as well throw a sub under the seat too.

Are there any subs that will fit under the seats, or do they need to be behind in the extended cab part?

unless you NEEEEED all the space you can get in the back, i'd stick with putting subs in the back... there are already quite a few threads about extended cab sub set ups.
