Just thought I'd share my photos here. Put a service bed on my ranger finally. 500 dollars at the scrap yard it was going to get crushed. Patched a couple holes then threw it on. Just had to modify fuel filler neck and that was it. Was made for a short bed ranger and mounting holes lined up although bed is 7" long. Perfect for hauling dirt bikes now. I'd estimate this thing weights about 600 or so #.

Currently have a plan to build a camper for the top of it. Something that I can take on a set on my trailer too but LS swap takes priority over that. Truck overall needs more power.

does that much weight past the rear axle lighten up the steering much?

Honestly it feels more balanced than anything. Then again I have extra weight up front with bumper, batteries, etc.

Might trim a bit off the service bed, still need a receiver and pull points in the back now

I've been thinking of buying an older Ranger 4x4, or maybe an F150 4x4 and doing something similar for camping/overlanding.
