I recently ordered some sealed power rp-3332 pushrods to swap with my new rocker arms on my 1994 4.0 ohv. They are advertised as 5.480 length but caught my attention immediately when set them next to my 140k mile stockers and the new ones were visibly shorter. quick measurements confirmed my suspicions with the old worn ones averaging 5.476" and the sealed powers coming in at 5.469". I called federal mogul (sealed power manufacturer) and he says that the lifters will make up the slack. Is he right or should I source a different set?

Thanks for the link! I'd really be interested in knowing if these will work or not as they are a bit more heavy duty (hardened and thicker shafts) than the stock ones. I believe it was recommended to go with the heavy duty versions on other posts I came across.

I assume you're replacing because of ticking. So more clearance isn't going to help anything I'd get the correct length. Smith Bros pushrods makes custom length pushrods got a set for my truck for like $70 last year and they are very good quality
