On the purge solenoid just under the vacuum line connectors there is a arrow with ENG marked on it.
This to me says the line from the engine should be on the side the arrow is pointing. Am I correct on this?
Reason for removing lines off of it. I cracked a hard plastic line from the PVC valve to the charcoal canister by flipping the upper intake/plenum up to the side to get access to the drivers side valve cover to replace the gasket. So normally this would be only one side of the solenoid but the canister end was degraded and cracked It needed replacement. I brought in both ends but the parts store still gave me the wrong size line so I pulled the nipple adapter off of the solenoid so they could get me the correct size and didnt notice the marking till I was installing the new line.
I just need piece of mind I plummed it correctly. The arrow shows direction and eng stands for engine so I put the engine in the direction of the arrow.
