Ok here is the first one, it started out as an S10, my buddy built it origianlly for a mud truck, then like myself he conveted to rocks and started making a crawler out of it.

Well things werent the way he wanted so he started cutting more off of it and building a little better cage, next thing you know all he had was a firewall and floor pan. Well he ran out of patience and time, and decide he couldnt figure out which way to go with it so he brought it to me to do anything to it.

He dropped it off at the last part of the summer and told me to take my time, do whatever I wanted with it. (some of you may remmeber some of this from before the old forum went down)

He wanted me to start out buy cleaning up the back part of the frame, and making it look better and redoing some of the suspension, then making some skins for it. SI cut off the back part of the frame and decided to make some tube work to clean it up.

After further inspesction and looking at it, I noticed the motor was in it crooked and the angle from the front of the motor to the output on the transfercase was a hugh downward angle. As in the motor mounts were 3" above the frame and the output on the transfer hung down 8-10" below the frame.

So I decided since the motor mounts and everything else was welded in and the floor was paper think after cutting off the rocker panels then I would just cut the whole cage off the frame and scrap it.

So I went and got a few sticks of 2" tubing and put them on the floor, then I bent them to start the chassis,

I slowly started attaching it to the exsisting cage.

The main goal was to make a flat belly and keep everything tucked up tight. IT was about this time that he came over one day, (he lives about 45 minutes from me) he got a sick look on his face when he saw his frame all cut up laying out in the driveway. :D But after he saw it he was alot happier.

Boat sides were a must also, because he plans on trying to following me :D

Next I made some braces for the seats and put the exhuast tcked up in the boat sides.

Finally a few weeks ago I was running out of time and he was bored and wanted soemthing to do, so he came to get it to take it home and do some of the work himself, and start figuring out where he wanted to mount his axles and some of the guages and he was gonn cut out some of the sheetmetal for the dash I made.

He is going to bring it back when he gets ready for hanging the axles and when I get this other project out of my shop. Here it is sitting outside waiting for the trailer to take it home

wow, way to ruin a s10 punisher.

j/k :)

crazy build, i'd love to look over that rig in person.

How about I drop my rig off at your place. You can do whatever you want to it.

As always another badass rig. Did your wife/gf help with this one? Pretty cool that it has an LS1 up front. By the time it's all done I think it's really going to give Punisher a run for its' money! Awesome job and a really great shop.

Do you do this for a living? I really like your work (even if this one is a Chevy, might want to get yourself a tetanus shot by the way :icon_rofl: )

Should be pretty badass, I'll have to show my roommate. He's a Chevy guy *puke*.

Thanks, Yes I had fun cutting that S10 up ;missingteeth;

I will post up some more pics, of it later, it is still at the owners shop and he has been tinkering with it trying to get the axles under it and finish it up.

You have no ideal what you are in for when you tell me to do whatever I want to it....... :derisive:

And yes you are more then welcome to drop it off here at my shop, just be sure to drop off your check book too. :D

Yes my wife helped a little bit on this one, but not as much as then next one. BTW she doesnt know that my gf helps so lets keep that on the downlow.
Yes this one will give me a run for the money, the only thing that will hurt him will be less ground clearance with that 14 bolt compared to my shaved rocks. And his D60 will be a little bit weaker then my rocks, but all in all, he will probably be able to do things that I cant and mine as well the same.

No I do not do this for a living, I am actually a water well Driller/contractor, and pump installer, along with water softner and treatment stuff.
I do this on the side for fun and I make a little extra money at it, but all in all I really love building as long as I am not under a deadline or pressure.

If your roomate likes chevy's then he is gonna like this next one......:D

No problem LOL. What are you using for a tube bender? I like the look of those nice smooth bends. We usually heat our tubing and bend it around an old steel rim. It's a real hillbilly way to do it, but for all the tubing I bend it's the best way I know of.
