Hello everyone. Great to be back here.

I have a 92 Ranger with the 4.0L OHV and I need to remove the crankshaft pulley. The bolts to use in my new pulley removal kit are not long enough. Anyone have any suggestions to get this bugger removed? I'm thinking of going to Fastenal and paying for 50 correct sized bolts (butt munchers won't break apart a box or bag so I have to buy the whole thing).

Any help?

Thanks a million!

Do you have an independent bolt supply warehouse that you can try? In Red Deer there are at least three independents in a city of ~90,000.

Take 2 of your AC compressor bolts out and use them.

Or you can grab a steering wheel puller, the T-bar style, leave the crank bolt in a few threads, and then put the bolts for the puller in those holes. It doesn't get it all the way off, but by the time you run out of threads it's loose enough to pull by hand.
