I need to know the easiest way to pull a contaminated tank and replace the fuel pump,-need to get this truck back up and running

Replace the tank? Lots of work. Get into the tank to replace the pump? Remove the truck bed. Much easier and quicker. 6 T55 torx bolts, three screw for the filler neck, one plug at the drivers rear light (up under the bed). Spray the T55 bolts from under the bed with a good penetrating lube each day for a few days beforehand to loosen them up.

srteach nailed it, PB blaster works good, spray the bolt treads from underneath. now would be a good time to replace any nasty looking bed bolts, head up to ur local boneyard and look at rangers without beds, chances are there ones in better shape, bed bolt and retainers are like 1$ each. just curiours, what contaminated your fuel so bad that the pump is dead? it may be a good idea to add a drainplug to it if you suspect it may happen again.
