So this summer i'm beginning on turning my '91 Ranger XLT into a moderately fast street truck but also have show quality. I've already Herculined the bed. Added in-cab LED's, Extra runnings light on rear tailgate and front air dam. Also on the interior I plan to smooth the dash and panels and paint to match the soon paint job.(more on that in a minute) I've handmade aluminum diamond plate accent pieces around the 4x4 switch, A/C and Heater control, the stereo is next to fab up. Also the blank panel under headlight switch. I'll try and convince my dad to buy me new "shoes" 17x9 American Racing Rebels. Lowering the truck is way down on the list right now cuz it will cost the most

As for paint. I have decided on a 2 tone of silver and burgundy metallic. They will seperate at the body line that covers the length of the truck with possible black pinstriping...(it will be Acyrlic/Enamel paint btw)

Performance wise i have added a Flowmaster American thunder cat-back with the 50 series delta flow muffler. Flex-a-lite fan, Motorvation TBS (cuz i'm an idiot) Headers are waiting to be put on (need impact gun and more soak time) Jet Chip is the final item under the hood. Besides detailing...Pictures of the already finished work will be up in the next couple of days

Here is what has been done so far. You can see the Herculiner Bed

That's the same model I got(except I got a 5.0 motor:D). Looks nice and clean!!

If you want to add some zing to the exterior, get a set of stainless rocker trim. I got a kit on mine, and she looks HOT.:icon_thumby:

oh yeah forgot about those...i'll get my dad to buy those after paint

looks like a good start! im taking all my chrome rocker pieces off because they hold all the dirt and crap and its starting to rust underneth of them. of coarse my trucks off road a little more than it sounds like yours will be! keep us updated.

right now I'm spraying the wheel wells with 3M Rubberized spray. Great stuff. Did the front splash shields today...curing overnight, install tomorrow then rear wells also template for diamond trim around stereo finally. no headers yet. cleaned under the hood cuz i was bored. project might take longer than thought of...Making a superkart as side project. Hopefully with a CB400 honda engine

no major things done so far. Big change in plans. I've decided to make it a work truck. 4in lift, maybe my own lift shackles. custom 1" body lift maybe. want atleast 6in total...enough for 33in DC Mud Country's

headers

today me and my dad started on putting headers on. We got all bolts out without breaking ONE!!:yahoo: (98,000 miles) Got passenger pipe on except the bottom rear bolt. It should be finished tomorrow.

that video was incredibly... detailed. haha. sweet truck good starting point for a sweet build

I like the interior lights, I'm going to do that one day just for self satisfaction.

ok...it's been awhile....but i've made a final decision...I'm not gonna work on my daily driver anymore...but instead i plan on making a low 11's street/strip truck...got everything figured out on what i want/have to do to it...

This is the plan

I got a 302 in the garage. 99% torn down for machining...0.030" over, turned and balanced crank. Rebuild kit from summit racing with hypereutetic pistons. Port and polish heads, Weiand Stealth intake, Howards Cams Hyd roller, single pattern (.500", 218*@0.050") lunati retro fit lifters and spider. K-motion springs, TF retainers and pushrods. Summit racing 600cfm carb. ARP studs and bolts everywhere. Hopefully a TCI streetfighter c-4....Once the engine is built i'll look for a truck. probably one like i've got now, except std cab (save weight) anything else you guys want to know
