It left last week or the week before (when i got the exhaust done) If I would gave known I was getting your old cab, I would have hung onto it for more parts...
Speaking of, I did the math, and with buying the donor at $1250 price tag, I sold the 4.0 and 5r55e separately for 650, and got 50 for some hvac parts, and about 50 for the console. By the time I shipped those parts, it wasn't really worth it, but in the end I helped out some fellow TRS members. Anyways, still had a lot of good parts, but I wasn't gonna let it sit around long enough to be another project, so off to the scrapyard it went. I got a couple dollars shy of 600. So basically, I was paid 50 bucks to do my v8 swap. I didn't have to buy any special parts, everything was pretty much bolt in and hookup. I did have to do fluid fills, but I count that as regular maintenance. When I did the v8 swap on SVT, it cost me $155 to do it, only cause I had to buy some parts, and I didn't sell the original motor or trans to recoupe my $$. All in all, I think I would have done the swap as soon as I got it
Total price of truck including rims, v8 swap to date - $1,150
Total price of having non-stop pudding face everytime I hit the skinny - Priceless!
