project olranger and your opinion

got a 89 ranger that is my daily driver, got a set of 33's from a buddy for real cheap. cut fenders for fitment. I made a winch bumper for it and now all i have to do is get a winch. Now your opinon, i am going to run the 33's and the stock front axle (dana28). i dont really have a lead foot when i offroad and not a fan of breaking things due to being my dd. I dont have the money right now for a d35 and no time for a d44. I will post pics later but what do you think. i would like to take my dd to the badlands in indiana, which is a 1.5 hrs away and go wheeling, do you think it would be ok.

I think some light wheeling will be ok. Just take it as easy as possible. Keep away from things that would really put a lot of stress on it...like bumping up a rock. Make yourself feel better and get a d35 ready to go in and just have fun with the d28 until it breaks. The 28 might even last longer than you think!

What gear ratio are your axles?

Should be able to fit 33s with how much you already cut.
