It was a pretty damn good birthday. 2 days of partyin and I picked up a bottle of Elmer T Lee that I've been sippin on and enjoyin.

My girlfriend bought me tube inserts for my birthday, so I can finally thread up my drag link today.

I busted a non pressure side of my power steering lines, I guess that's why i was going through 2 bottles a week.

The line's gonna run me 27 bucks but what ever.

She's so ****in close it hurts.

Ha. It's been a while.

She's up and runs.

She gets 20 miles to the gallon I shit you not. 10 bucks got me 105 miles (with all the math for new gears/tone ring/ring gear into account) Do the math.

Mitch and I are fabbing up a front bumper. A heafty ass piece of C with some tube. Here's the starting pic.

I'm gettin a good price for sticks of tube, and only have 30 days to return my harbor freight tube notcher so I gotta hall ass.

Plans are:

Tie the front bumper into the sliders. The new design ends at the fenders, but I'm going to run a few inches of bar and plug weld it to tie into the sliders.

Rear bumper with a tire carrier from a burban for my odd 6 lug spare that folds down.

Exo cage.

But i also need shocks built to my dimensions.

I'm takin her up to Slaughter in the next few weeks and I'll just pull the shocks off for the shake down run. Still gotta get the CV in my front drive shaft I keep neglecting.

But she runs. And steers. And stops.

Yup,it's a ls with zr2 suspension.The 4.3's are torque monsters,they get up and boogie.The ifs will come out in a year or two unless I can find a good deal on one tons and i've got the money for em.

Feeling ambitious. 1st time ever.

So I'm layed up a while with a broken jaw, and I've been spending most my time on TRS dreaming and sceaming. And ****ed up on morphine.

So as I'm up at 2 in the morning next to my sleeping girlfriend waiting for the laundry to be done, I designed a cage for the beast. Here's two MS paint renditions. The gussets aren't shown along with some of the added triangulation but here's a rough version:

After comp cutting the rear fender, I wanted to do something with tube to recreate the factory body lines but using tube like a post rear axle slider. I wanna revise that, but something along those lines. The rear stinger will get some added support and run as a spare tire carrier, along with a spare carrier coming from the bars coming from the roof halo.

The back behind the cab gets a little hard to understand cause of the dimensions and pain killers but it makes sense to me. I only had a few photos from my myspace to choose from so eh. What ever.

I didn't want to do some half ass exo that looks like tinker toys around a hotwheels car. So this is gonna take a lot of work and quite a few sticks, but who cares? It's only time and money!

Dom is about 20 a foot right now, so I'm looking into Heru. I have know clue how it's spelled. I can get a 20 foot stick for 30 bucks from Hinton. Great little shop.

Here's some additions, including more detail in the bed.

Tube coming from the roof halo leading to the rear spare carrier / stiner. A spare carrier built off those two main tubes, and tube from the two main rails to the tube following the top of the bed.

This would clear up room in my bed for gear and camping stuff, be wicked strong, and look bad ass.
