So a little update with my slow moving project. Sucks only having 1 night a week to work on this thing.

Finished the front brake lines, track bar (have to redo cause the heim joint broke while I was screwing it in), track bar mount, lock tighten all bolts, Drag link, bleed clutch, transmission cross-member, and finished the shifter.

How do you break a heim joint by screwing it in? You need to post pictures of this lol

Bottom of the insert warped and needing one turn to get it at the length I needed it snapped the insert. Meanwhile trying to get that one last turn I used a pry bar on the joint which when the insert broke so did the swivel ball. I should've stopped instead of trying to get that last turn.

After it broke I threw it down the road. I might have to go find it and take a picture of it.

It's a 7/8" heim joint. I talked to currie about getting a johnny joint built for it.

I used 1.25" creeper joints for mine since they have a Teflon coating in them to absorb vibrations. Plus they're rebuild able.

That's what I used on my long arms. It's just an all around better joint to deal with. Bad thing is that my James Duf trackbar mount only has an opening of 1 3/4" which limits me of what to use.

Oh ok. I brain farted I've got the same setup you do for your track arm. I ordered my track arm kit through ruff stuff. I can't remember the dimensions of it atm but it may be identical.

Well had everything running and driving for test drive. Went to finish welding my y-pipe and caught the flame resistant material around the clutch line on fire and melted the line. No more clutch. Now I have to wait for a new one to get here.

Got a few more things finished yesterday for my day off. It's just about ready for the final shake down. Finished the track bar, bleed the brakes, bleed the new clutch line, aligned the front end, and did a little prep work on the body.

All that's left is:
Build Rear Leaf Packs
Attach new shock mounts and U-Bolts for rear
Find a new front drive shaft
Finish drilling out pitman arm for insert
Finish welding up y-pipe

One more free day and all will be done. Just ran out of time yesterday due to running around to stores trying to fix a leaking hard line for the front driver side brake. Drove it around to see how it runs and drives currently. Drives actually smooth for TTB springs in the front. The rear explorer springs are way to soft and my tires rub on every bump I hit. I am planning on adding 3 of my leafs from my stock pack to the explorer pack.

Well it's back on the road. Have to fix some issues that I ran into. Rear bleeder screw were MIA so new rear brakes are needed. Built rear leaf packs, need to fix track bar angle badly.

Did you put the front drive shaft in it yet? Impressive work btw. And you finally changed out the shifter!
