project family wheeler. chop top 1 ton explorer.

mine is 4" forward....making me 130".....

but, as soon as I pick up my doubler I am going to make both front and rear driveshafts the same length so I only need 1 spare.....so I will soon see how much I can shorten mine.....

That's a good idea, wonder where you got that idea from?? Lol

looking good dude. I know I don't make it into here very often anymore since I haven't been messing with the truggy but I like what I see.

As for the hand throttle, I had one on the B2 when I had a 5spd and it wasn't quite as nice as you might think... was a PITA sometimes when you got frustrated. Mine was actually the kit from Rubicon express... was a bike gear changer clicky style one. Controlled with my thumb.

I wised up and got an automagic :D

Thanks Justin, it's coming along slowly.

As for the slush box, I couldn't make myself do it! There just so.... Slushy? Lol

Meh just always drove 5 speeds, I get bored with auto's

I like a auto when I'm driving around town, or site seeing, but if I'm in a hot rod or a working truck I like a manual.

A friend of mine that still drive long haul showed me his new truck that the company bought him, it has a auto in it, I tried driving it, I prefer a manual in the big trucks.

I finally broke down and decided to go auto. Its gonna suck on the street though.

As soon as my POS A4LD blows, Im swapping in a manual. You have so much more control.

Talk to me after you smell clutch for 10 hrs

Moab TOASTED my clutch. After I got the doubler it wasn't no where near as bad, but by nightfall, you could smell it again. I'm not horrible with a clutch either. I've had one for the past 9 years of driving and quads before that. Now with the trans he is using, I'm sure it will be better. Ranger trans with slow Rock crawling is not fun.

Good luck with that:thefinger:

I was that guy trying to justify a manual for years, I had one in the B2 up until about a year ago.

My automatic is 11tybillionx better.

More control, more stability, shift between gears much faster, just better in every aspect.... period.
