thanks it has been quite the project but it is almost road worthy:D

Yeah I know how it goes, Its tough to find 1st gens. in decent shape on the east coast. Ive had my share of turds. I never put that much time into the rust buckets though, I just try to find the ones in the best shape. Then Mod!

well when i got the truck it wasnt in that bad of shape except for some minor rust on the bed i cut it off and expaned my wheel wells :D now that i have driven it everything exploded and had to be replaced but it runs now except for the new battery that was put in it that is now dead:annoyed:. but now that i have had the truck for a while i have been drawling plans for a secret flat bed build but that is still in the paper and pen stage of the build.:icon_hornsup:

well i have more to update got one of the doors done. it looks nice but i have painted yet still dont know what color to go with:icon_confused: and we got some snow here in the good old dirty jersey here are some pics to tide you over till they are done

I got some snow in the truck but nothing a nice shopvac cant get out:D let me know what you think so far next is to get the chain welded on there and paint them along with lose my 2inch body lift to pass inspection im just thinking im gonna take it off the cab and leave the bed lifted seeing how they measure from the door down bastards:annoyed:

nice build, where in jersey are you from, mabe we can get together with mhughes165(mike) and go wheeling even if he is a traitor....

im right outside of mt holly. where are you located i saw your post in the regional forums where do you go out to wharton?

wharton and hidden lakes once, dieing to go out again, i just dont have the rig for it yet

nice i have been to wharton a dozen times and hidden lakes 2-3 its sweet out there.

progress
well i have figured out a way to mount the front bumper it is going to invole a Front Hitch:headbang: this thing is gonna look sweet when its done i cut the hitch with my torch but ran out of oxygen:annoyed: perfect timing i hardly use the darn thing and now this. went to hold it up to the frame rails and it is an inch too big:sad: now im gonna have to cut it with my grind blade which is a pain but oh well enough of me ranting. I got the door handles welded to the sheet metal i like the way they turned out(pics tommorrow). will get them mounted to the doors and the doors on the truck. My buddy has some smaller tires he has to look into at his house to get my truck through inspection lifted to high and i dont want to do a tilt test.
I have a little to do list here it is:
-make brackets for the diamond plate on the bumper
-recut the hitch, weld it on
-bumper brackets that will mount to the hitch
-exhaust
there is mostlikely more that im forgeting but this is what i got for now.

i know i said i would have pics but the camera died so i will get them up tommorrow. but i got a little more done today i made the bumper brackets out of some 1 1/2"x1 1/2"x1/8" got the 4 bolts for them and cut the shit out of my thumb thanks to me being dumb and just holding the metal on the drill press, long story short the bit caught and metal hurts. I got the front hitch locked into position thanks to my handy dandy MIG welder also got a cardboard mock up of the diamond plate for traceing.

so i still am not sure how im gonna paint these doors anyone want to give a basic paint diagram? That will be cool.
Thanks for reading

Now to the doors.:headbang: those are badass they where a PITA to align right and get them to shut with out having to bend the fender:annoyed: but all in all i like them. i have decided im gonna spraybomb them black because paint is on sale 98cents a can at homedepot. The bumper is also going to get a good coat of black too. i will post some pics of them when they are painted.
