Fill plug is on the front of the diff. by the yolk, its 3/8 Ratchet and 6" extension. Not all manuals use gear oil (90 w.) The famous M5OD uses Atf.

Oh BTW have fun refilling the rear diff. Its a B!tch.

why thanks that save me the trouble of looking i also new that not all manuals used gear oil but i just new that alot of the older models do.

this is the tool that i used to keep the flywheel while i torqued the flywheel and clutch plate to specs.

here is the oil that came out of the trans yuck! i will more to update later.

So about the ATF in transfer cases: The 1350/54 use ATF in stock form because a chain driven case (like those) need thinner fluid to fully lubricate the chain, etc. In making the doubler, you get rid of the chain in the front case which means it is now all gear internals. I am going to be using gear lube in mine since its what my second case (dana 300) uses. If your second case uses ATF, i would stick with it in the first case as well

i got the rear full of oil i use my handy funnel that i picked up from Napa for 12 bucks

these are the stock stock door panels but i picked up some metal to line them with the plans for these bad boys are to have chain link door handles and hold a 6x9 speaker

i also picked up a box of 300 self-tapping screws that are a 1/2inch

1/2" for door panels? Going into combat with this thing? That's going to be a fawkin heavy door! I'd find myself some 16 ga for skinning the doors.

is the metal 1/2" or just the screws???

I guess I misread that, but that steel does look quite heavy for door panels. I'd find some 20ga. aluminum for weight reduction.

im not sure the gauge but it is really thin, if you hold 8-10 peices of paper together that is about how think the metal is and it doesnt weight that much i think it will be fine for the application. The SCREWS are 1/2 inch

UPDATE:

here is the front bumper that i have started making with just some metal i had laying around im not sure how strong it is going to be but im gonna like the look of it alot better then the one i have now.

This is a peice of aluminum plate that i got along time ago and it has just been sitting in my shed now im gonna use it to fill the triangular parts of the bumper the middle section is going to hold the liscene plate. Any idea on how i can attach this i cant weld aluminum.

im debating on wether or not to have this circle type metal on top or the flat steel on top of the bumper because it is gonna be held on by square tube so there is a 4 inch strip across the top it is going to stick out from the truck.

not much but got some more pics for you guys to look at i got the doors off and tore off the interior of them

this is a little hard to see but it was when i was drawling where the door handle and speaker and window roller thing.

here is a better pick i started to get the stuff cut and drilled but im calling it quits for tonight i will get some more pics up tommorrow of the finished product.
