Project Apple Bottom

I know I'm killing you guys, I haven't made an ounce of progress yet, but looking at those other two trucks, thats exactly what I need to do to my bed!

You say the gray one is local to you? Do you happen to know the guy well enough to get the scoop on how he actually got them to turn out that good?

<edit> HAHAHA, I'm not one for the street trucks/low-rider looks, but seeing the picture of that gray truck from behind, that car show looks like a junk yard! All the cars sitting on the ground with their tires all squatting and sagging!:icon_rofl: Maybe it's just me, but I found it funny.

heres a full build up on the truck...

95 xl sweet build, i was talking to my buddy today and he said he bouth a set of 8 lug outers from a guy in fulton that was building a dually ranger is this you?
he was prol drivin a very obnoxis sounding orange and blackranger

SO this may sound like a stupid question, but any interest in selling the adapters when you get your front axle in? Or maybe milling a set for someone for a price???

Thats not a stupid question, and the answer is yes, the adaptors are for sale. Although, before we get too deep, I have to warn you, a few others have contacted me about buying them and I think the price scares them off. I know there is know way I can ever recoup the time and money that I have into them, If I remember correctly, I have about $700 into them in just materials (buying 32 wheel studs from auto zone gets kind of pricey at $2.50 a piece, the guys there though I was nuts!).

Anyways, if you're looking to buy all four, I have two off the truck and two on the front end still. The ones off the truck are kind of a tight fit between the two plates. The ones on the truck have been sitting outside for about a year and have surface rust on them, but I do remember never-seizing the crap out of everything on them so they should come off with no problems. I would be willing to sell all four of them together for $500, plus shipping. (Thats minus the lug nuts, but you get the wheel studs and the 3/8 bolts that hold the plates together). If you want to buy just 2 of them, I'd be willing to let them go for $300, plus shipping. (Again, minus the lug nuts, but with the wheel studs and 3/8 bolts). I hope I don't scare you off....

YUP! haha, I was going to ask him if he had ever been on this site, but it slipped my mind! Small world huh?

i have to say i would defiantly run a stouter shorter spring under the frame rails with the rear rails boxed and crossed for support and narrow the axle till the tires were 1.5 in or so from the frame rails.

Awesome project! :headbang: I see it's been a while since any posts were made, but any updates since then?

i know old thread but i was thinking about this today and figured id see if anything is new?
