Project 85 Yota

He's really been thinking of a 2JZ motor, I think that is it(Supra motor).

Ive seen people do it b4. Theyre very long and hard to fit plus usually end up with over heating issues

I keep telling him to put in a whole drivetrain from a Blazer.

His front axle needs a complete rebuild, pinion bearings are shot. And knuckles leak like crazy too.
Just swap everything, motor, trans, tcase, and axles. Cause it would be cheaper than rebuilding all the yota stuff.

Only thing that sucks about that is chevy motors suck for swaps into small engine bays imo because the distributor is in a shitty spot. 302 its up front so you can push the motor back further. And depending what axles are in the blazer the yota stuff my be stronger...

Reason I say from a Blazer is he can get one for a few hundred dollars.

Chevy 350 seems pretty popular... and they mke adapters to keep the yota cases behind chevy transmissions which is why so many guys run 4.3s

The poor Yota has sat for a year. Nothing much has been done to it and my brother is wanting to get rid of it. [emoji19].
I'm trying to convince him to at least finish it, change the rear to a 4-link and install a mini spool.

2rz, w56 tranny, a spool. That thing will be indestructable. That's what my buddy has and it goes damn near everywhere.
