Project 84 Ranger

steering done, seems to work really good and all the joints are tight no slop. Got my trac-bar bracket from Bronco Graveyard, it fits nicely up on the frame with some small mods. On the steering I used drivers side inner and outer tie rods from a RBV and it was the right length around 20". From what i can see comparing the TRE tapers they are all the same, torqued the nuts down and no slop. I tested the steering with the truck running and it steers good, no bind or slop. If i did the steering wrong someone plz let me know before it results in a mechanical failure.

I got the angle the best i could with my dropped pitman arm. I had to watch out for engine crossmember clearance so i couldn't move the bar up any more or else it would interfere. Shocks coming up next, and then the test drive.

Two questions:

How are the 4.10s working out with the 35s ?

Is the cross member getting in the way of the front diff ?

Looking good !

I havent got 35's yet, but i have run the truck 4.10's on 33's and its got plenty of power.

The crossmember dont hit the diff, no problems. Im going to run bumpstops incase i bottom out.

Got the sending unit back and installed into the tank. Put the bed back on and finished lifting the rear. New shocks added, 34" long from a Bronco. Some recent pics on rollers.
