I have a 97 4x4, currently has the 4.0 with a 5speed. looking into a v8 conversion, already found a 5speed out of a 4x4 f150 and ordered the engene mounts and adapter to mate it to my stock t-case. i want to stick with EFI. what would be the best donor vehicle to look for when it comes to engine and electronics combination. need something that can be wired in so that my factory speedo tach and cruise will still work.

You'll need to locate the rare 1997 Ford Google with a 5.0L. After that, it's all plug n play.
